Wythe, A New Store Selling Americana Inspired Apparel, Opens at 59 Orchard St

This past Saturday, Wythe opened its first ever brick and mortar store at 59 Orchard St, after more than 3 years of operating online.
Texas-raised Peter Middleton (bigdaddycrowdaddy) is the founder of a brand that seeks to emulate vintage, iconic outfits worn by quintessentially American figures such as Miles Davis and James Dean. The style is similar in spirit to Bode a block away, just without as absurd a price.
Before Wythe, Streetview reveals two previous businesses since 2007. The older one is a store called Cellini Uomo that sold Italian clothing and shoes. It lasts until 2014, when pictures show an empty storefront with for rent signs.
As of 2017, Foley Gallery appears behind the glass panes. This art gallery and education center was first established in 2004 at another location but finally closed, just over a month ago, on September 17th.
