OHNY Weekend: 29 Private LES Buildings and Institutions Will Open Doors to Public Between Oct 20-22
A list of participating organizations included.
Between October 20-22, more than 300 private buildings, studios, and gardens will open to the public across New York City as part of the annual Open House New York (OHNY) Weekend. Every year, OHNY engages with hundreds of influential city institutions, working in tandem to introduce their work and creative spaces to the public.
The Lower East Side and East Village is home to 12 and 17 such openings respectively this year - all free of charge. Organizations such as the Tenement Museum, Henry Street Settlement, and the Lower Eastside Girls Club will offer tours and access to their facilities.
Since demand is so high for certain spaces, make sure to sign up for the lottery, which opened today (October 10th) at 9am and closes tomorrow (October 11th) at 9am.
While acknowledging the risk of further diluting my chances of getting into these neighboring locations, I urge everyone to sign up as it’s a great opportunity to step inside spaces that one would otherwise never see in person.
You can find a list of participating organizations below.
Thank you for reading and I'll see you there in two weeks!
