Fire on Grand x Chrystie Street

A fire broke out at 249 Grand St late Thursday night, burning through a decent amount of the 1st and 2nd floors.

A messy assortment of charred wooden planks, ash, and other debris was still there when passing by early Saturday morning. I've put a video from Citizen on the second slide.

Not sure what the status is with C.T. Seafood Marts, the business that occupies space, but anything that was in that ground floor can't be doing well.

Most puzzlingly, there has been absolutely no news coverage of the blaze from any of the NYC outlets like NYP or Pix that would typically cover stuff like this.
