Delancey St. will be the subject of a federally funded $21 million makeover!
The project involves significant pedestrianization improvements, widened sidewalks, protected bike lanes, and fewer traffic lanes. This is really good news for a stretch of road that is so poorly maintained and is a constant risk for daily commuters.
I hope it can one day be restored to its former glory, the way it looks so majestic in the second photo.
